I’ve seen Dr. Schneider for several years for assorted foot problems. Flat Feet! I recently developed Plantar Fascitis and suffered. I tried the traditional remedies and none seemed to help. Dr. Schneider told me that he was having good success with shockwave therapy. What a game changer! One month out and I am pain free!!
Update! One year and 7 months later, I am still pain free. I continue to wear my medical grade orthotics to prevent the return. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

Starting at the front check in counter with the young lady. Very pleasant she came across easy to speak with. Going into the room with the same young lady also a Medical Assistant. We had a few laughs well mostly me about not getting a pedi before hand. She was being nice and didn’t comment on that lol… Dr Schneider very very pleasant. Easy to speak with… knowledgeable and just felt comfortable with him and his staff. After I left the office I had a question and the 2nd young lady was very helpful over the phone and again another pleasant young lady. Definitely recommend Tanglewood Foot Specialist. Great job Tanglewood Crew. Definitely will be back. I felt 100% better on my feet today.

I've been one of Dr. Schneider's patients for about two years. He is likable, understanding, easy to talk to, and of course very professional and skilled. I was having several problems with my feet which my primary care doctor hadn't addressed, so I considered seeing a podiatrist. I researched and am so glad I decided to visit Dr. Schneider. What inspired you to start offering Shockwave Therapy?
I was looking for a treatment for my patients that was non-invasive but provided reliable results for the foot and ankle pain they were experiencing.
Do you combine Shockwave Therapy with other treatments?
For severe cases, I combine shockwave therapy with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. The PRP provides the resources to heal the injury, and the shockwave drives it into the area to maximize results.
What makes your approach to Shockwave Therapy different from others?
Many of my colleagues use shockwave therapy as a last resort. I prefer to offer it as a primary solution—especially for acute injuries such as ankle sprains.
Have you taken any specific training or certifications related to Shockwave Therapy?
I have taken many courses related to the effective use of shockwave therapy. I always make sure I’m using the most up-to-date protocols.
What’s one misconception people often have about Shockwave Therapy — and how do you explain it to them?
People think that shockwave is similar to a TENS unit. This couldn’t be further from the truth. TENS uses electrical currents to treat superficial inflammation. Shockwave uses acoustic pulses to reach deeply into tissues to stimulate a healing response.
Is there anything patients should avoid before or after Shockwave Therapy (e.g., cortisone injections)?
Before pursuing shockwave therapy, patients should avoid anything anti-inflammatory. This includes taking oral NSAIDs or receiving corticosteroid injections.
Outside of clinical work, what’s something you’re passionate about or enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending time with my family. I enjoy seeing live music and often travel to attend concerts and festivals. I’m also a huge Disney fan.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English, and my team speaks Spanish fluently.
Is there anything else you’d like patients to know before they book their first session with you?
Shockwave therapy is a non-painful procedure. Many people are put off by the name, but at most you feel a heavy tapping during the treatment. I even treat kids with no complaints of discomfort. Give shockwave therapy a try—you’ll be pleasantly surprised how it will make you feel.
